Alex MacGillivray
Executive Director Climate Business Network Alex MacGillivray is a policy expert in sustainable economic development and institutional capacity building. He has worked with senior policy makers¸ business leaders, NGOs and international agencies on national, sectoral and institutional strategy in various countries. He was previously a Managing Director of the non-profit research and advocacy group Accountability, where he led the Responsible Competitiveness Unit (2003-2010). He is the author or co-author of many studies, including 'A Brief History of Globalization' (Constable Robinson, 2006) and 'Networks for Prosperity' (UNIDO & University of Leuven, 2011). He holds a Master of Arts degree from Oxford and a Master of Science from Imperial College, where he is a regular lecturer. He is a board member of the Global Cool Foundation and a co-founder of the Sustainable Business Awards. |
