Bart van Rijnsoever

Bart van Rijnsoever currently heads the 'Information and System Security' group and manages the security programme at Philips Research.  The main research interests include protection of entertainment content, protection of medical data. watermarking of media content, biometrics, and security of ICs and consumer devices.
In previous positions, Bart van Rijnsoever worked as research scientist, system architect and technology manager in the areas of pay-TV systems and Digital Rights Management for mobile phones.
He has been involved in several standardisation activities and collaboration projects, is the holder of a number of patents, and published a number of papers.
Bart van Rijnsoever holds MSc. and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology. His thesis addressed performance models in Asynchronous Transfer Mode networks.
