Bill Duncan
Managing Partner Advizors.EU Bill Duncan graduated in Classics (Greek & Latin philosophy) from Edinburgh University, before later studying Business Administration at Cranfield Business School (UK) and International Business Development Strategy at Dartmouth College (USA). He was responsible for international business management for more than 25 years, working for Colgate Palmolive and International Paper with extensive experience in Japan, USA, Europe & the Middle East. In 2000, he moved into Public Affairs, based in Brussels, representing a number of leading edge multi-national corporations and sector associations, with a focus on contributing to and influencing EU policy and legislative development in the areas of environmental and sustainable resource management, working very closely with the Commissions Directorates responsible for Industry, Environment, Transport & Energy, and R&D. He has chaired a number of consultation processes at the Commissions request and in 2008 was a member of the expert panel invited by the Commission to review progress on the Sustainable Development Strategy. Recently he has been working with manufacturing companies and retailers to develop and implement sustainable development programs and to build closer dialogue with EU Member State policy makers. He is on the OECDs Business and Industry Advisory Committee on environment and energy policy. He is a member of the UK think-tank Forum for the Future and a member of the Society of European Affairs Professionals. |
