Having studied at the IEP
(Institute of Political Science Studies) in Paris, then at Sorbonne
University and then at Ecole des Mines de Paris, Mathieu Wellhoff joined
ADEME and was charged with coordinating institutional cooperation with
Central and Eastern European countries in preparation for their accession
to the European Union.
Following this, he then
joined the Economic Unit of the Agency where he is responsible for the
development of innovative economic tools such as the sustainable
development saving scheme, energy efficiency certificates, domestic
projects etc
He is thus involved in the
creation of financing mechanisms for energy efficiency projects within the
framework of the Grenelle de l'environnement a framework law laying out
measures to combat climate change. In particular, he is the driving force
behind the roll-out of 0% eco-loans 30,000 loans with a 0% interest
rate which are designed to finance improved energy efficiency in buildings
and which are distributed by all French banks. |
