Dr. Viktor Grinewitschus - Fraunhofer-IMS and inHaus-Center

Viktor Grinewitschus is in charge of the group Embedded Intenet Systems (EIS) at the Fraunhofer Institute for Microelectronis Circuits and Systems (IMS) in Duisburg which is developing technologies and products for smart buildings and customer-specific hardware/software solutions for system integration. He is one of the initiators and heads of the inHaus Innovation Center (www.inhaus.de), .a special research platform of the Fraunhofer Society for developing new products for intelligent homes and buildings and their application (user testing). Viktor Grinewitschus coordinates the R&D-activities of 9 Fraunhofer-Institutes and more than 40 companies being operated at the inHaus-Innovation Center. Since 2001 different applications and products for smart homes have been developed and also various pilot projects in Germany have been established. He also consults welfare institutions advising them in the use of smart home technology to improve caregiving processes applied to disabled and elderly people. He is member of various national and international expert committees such as ZVEI Initiative Intelligentes Wohnen, ZVEI body of experts Energy Saving by Bus Technology, Technical Advisory Boards of fair e/home and electronic home yearbook (switzerland), World Demographic Association (St. Gallen, Switzerland).
