Yutaka YoshimotoYutaka Yoshimoto is Chief Representative of the Paris Office of the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). NEDO is a Japanese governmental agency dedicated to managing national R&D programs in energy, environment and industrial science & technology areas under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). Before being seconded to NEDO Paris Office, Yoshimoto was Director for Policy Planning in the Manufacturing Industries Bureau of METI, where he wrote a Cabinet White Paper on Manufacturing touching upon energy and environmental issues. Yoshimoto worked at METI for 18 years, dealing with industrial policy issues, including innovation and start-up facilitation, industrial revitalisation, information service industries promotion, export control, and administrative reform. Yoshimoto received a Bachelor of Engineering degree from University of Tokyo, Japan and an MBA degree from Columbia Business School in New York, USA. |
